HD Extreme

HD Extreme is a way you can customize your virtual set content for your needs by changing colors, graphics, and camera movement

Virtual Sets

What are HD Extreme Virtual Sets? The most basic answer is putting a person somewhere they are not. This is usually done by a process called chromakeying in HD Extreme, removing the colored background behind the talent and replacing it with something else, like the weather. The background can be a picture, video, or computer generated images.
Here at Virtualset.com we provide libraries of royalty free virtual backgroundsfor use with HD Extreme that were designed for you to chromakey your talent into them.
Our virtual set backgrounds work with a variety of platforms other than HD Extreme. Our libraries are broken into four main categories: computer generated still images, computer generated animations, camera generated still images, and camera generated video.

HD Extreme Virtual Set Libraries

Virtual Set Packs for HD Extreme are designed to give you the most possible control in a 2D program. These layered .psd files are can be used with any application that handles .psd files. They can be edited in Photoshop or imported into After Effects, Digital Fusion, and other compositors. Each set comes with 16 angles, each angle has numerous layers for foreground objects, screens, UV maps for reflections, and an astonishing 2880x1620p resolution. Also included are depth maps for depth of field blur and depth merge, normals map for relighting, material ID for easy surface selection, and a full UV map of the entire scene so you can replace any surface with a flat texture or logo and have it map correctly regardless of it's shape. Available for download in our online store for $349 for individual sets and $1400 for a package of 20, choose Tricaster XD VSE format.
The below image is an example of the wealth of data available in the HD Extreme version of our virtual sets. The HD Extreme version is more than simply a high resolution virtual set; Upper right quad image (clockwise from upper left) normals, material ID, scene UV, and depth map. Below that are UVs for the screens that compositing programs can use to map B Source into without any tinkering on your end. Below that is the talent UV, cut out so that they instantly appear behind the desk. Lower left is the background (an unmatted version of the set). Next to the right is a version of the set without the desk or screens or background. To the right of that is the desk with it's shadows which when added to the previous version gives you the scene with the desk. And last, in the lower right is the set composited with other footage into the screens, talent area, and background illustrating how you can easily change the set.
